As the former manor house of Ware, the oldest part of the building is thought to date to the late 13th or early 14th century – it has been sympathetically modernised over the years.

The hire space comprises the main hall, off the main hall is the Parlour; a small kitchen, toilet area with disabled toilet and baby changing and there is a small medieval-style garden.
The Hall is a licenced wedding venue and is regularly hired for club/society meetings, exhibitions, seminars, training days, workshops, fitness classes, craft fairs, family gatherings and social events.
The Hall has disabled access and wi-fi.
Place House Hall is owned and managed by the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust a registered charity 232686 and maintained through hire fees and fundraising
